Covid Mask Policy as of 8/14/21

Dear Chattanooga Ballet Families,

In keeping with our current policy of mirroring the masking policies of the Hamilton County Public Schools, please see the memo from HCDE distributed this afternoon. As such, masks will be required for all individuals entering the building.

The district is releasing an opt-out form if parents do not want their children wearing masks in class. This form will be reviewed and adapted for Chattanooga Ballet use. Should some CB students not wear masks, we ask parents of our youngest dancers to prepare them to keep their masks on even though some of their classmates will be without. The opt-out form will be delivered via email over the weekend. Note that this opt out is only for a student in class and does not apply to family members who choose to remain in the building.

Included in the school district email is a link to a video from the Superintendent. We encourage you to take a few minutes to watch his comments. We join Dr. Johnson in acknowledging that a return to masks is challenging news for some and a great relief to others. Please know that the board and management of Chattanooga Ballet, continues to seek the best, safest path forward.

It is our great hope that the current Delta variant surge will abate soon. Thank you for helping your fellow students and families stay safe.

We will see you next week for the beginning of an exciting semester of dance.
